Meet Dawn

Hi!  I am passionate about living life well, and being the best I can be. I have a deep love of horses, for animals, for nature and the great outdoors.

I am a certified Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner, Reiki Master, Wellness Coach, Swim Coach and have a background in personal training/coaching, human resource management, corporate training, learning, development and communication.

I am the owner of Riverlands Rise and through EAL offer participants the opportunity to connect more deeply to yourself, to explore your human experience, your joys, fears and belief patterns. To grow in self-awareness and honour more of who you are to support a more fulfilled and empowered life in a way that is authentic and meaningful for you. I am in awe of this work and the incredible potential it offers for meaningful and lasting personal transformation and am grateful to be able to share this with clients.

Meet Lee

Hello! I have been a horse lover and owner for nearly 50 years. I have also felt the joy and divine presence of happy donkeys for many years, later in life.

I commenced my counselling degree (B.Soc.Sci) in 1995 at Southern Cross University Coffs Harbour, and have worked in a variety of counselling roles since. In 2007 I completed my training with EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) and began my own business (The Riverina Equine Assisted Learning Centre) which i ran for over 7 years.

I have worked in a youth detention centre, worked with homeless youth in Brisbane, and with youth in a NGO in Victoria. I have also worked as a Domestic Violence Counsellor and Generalist Counsellor with NSW health for over 13 years.

I also support other people starting their Equine Assisted Learning businesses with practical knowledge and ideas to help them get started. I am now utilising my skills to act as a consultant for people starting up their Equine Assisted Learning Business. I also help nervous horse owners to overcome their fears and enjoy their horses once again.

Your Team

The horses in our equine-assisted learning sessions are not just participants, they are valuable and cherished facilitators. We prioritize their wellbeing and ensure they are treated with care, respect, and kindness. Our sessions are designed to create a harmonious and mutually beneficial environment for both humans and horses. We consider their physical and emotional needs, providing them with a safe and comfortable space to interact with participants. The presence of the horses enhances the learning experience by offering profound insights, modeling authentic communication, and fostering a deep connection with nature. We honor and appreciate the unique wisdom and contributions that horses bring to our sessions, recognizing their vital role in facilitating growth, healing, and transformation.
