Children working with horses can experience numerous benefits in their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Interactions with horses can teach children important life skills such as responsibility, empathy, patience, and communication and helps improve self-confidence and self-esteem as children develop a bond with the horse and build relationships with others in the group. Additionally, horses provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment where children can express their emotions and learn emotional regulation.
